As part of an exceptional team of attorneys, we ultimately resolved the matter in the clients’ favor for $2.5 million, just minutes before jury selection. Represented an individual who sustained a permanent knee injury after a fall while carrying his two-year-old child down the stairs of his condominium building. Despite a low-ball (and frankly offensive) initial offer from the insurance carrier, successfully mediated the matter, demonstrating the negligent maintenance by the condominium association, and securing a six-figure settlement compensating his lost wages, significant pain and suffering, and medical bills.
Condominium Law
Represented a condominium unit owner in arbitration proceedings to challenge the unlawful denial of association records. Through meticulous handling of numerous exhibits, effective presentation of evidence, and thorough witness examinations, successfully secured a favorable decision finding malice on the association's part, and awarding attorney’s fees, and costs.
Property Damage and Negligence
Represented a homeowner whose residence suffered fire damage due to a broken electricity line owned by a state utility company. Within a month of taking on the case, secured a favorable settlement fully covering the client’s losses.
Immigration
Successfully secured adjustment of status for seven family members who had initially entered the United States from Cuba through the border under humanitarian parole. Their parole periods had expired at the time of filing, and no applications for asylum had been submitted on their behalf. All petitions for adjustment of status under the Cuban Adjustment Act were approved, allowing the family members to obtain lawful permanent resident status in the United States.
